Elmer’s Pro Bond Wood Filler – Real World Product Review

This video details the repair of the end of a 3″ x 12″ wood beam (2 – 2″x12″ nailed together) that is on the exterior of a house and is exposed to high heat, and some rain/snow, using Elmer’s ProBond Wood Filler. I would have liked to use epoxy but with the location of the repair being somewhat difficult I opted for Elmer’s. The product worked very well for me, even better than I expected. It goes on nicely, dries fast without excessive shrinking, sands easily and takes paint well. One 32 oz. tub of filler sells for about $13 and was enough to fix two of these beams. I would recommend using it for similar projects both large and small.
