Hello my fashionsistas!
Have you ever spent too much money on clothes? Only to end up getting bored with wearing the same clothes all the time? This is a problem that Katie from Sydney submitted to Ask Marina.
Outfits can be dull without accessories. Even the smallest accessory can make a huge difference on your outfit. They can add color and glamour on your attire.
Necklaces, scarves and bracelets are accessories that will help you change the same outfit to look like a completely different style. Here are my tips:
Necklaces are probably my most favorite accessories because they are very easy to change up, you can take a long necklace and wear it bundled around you neck for a short yet bold statement necklace or you can for a simply delicate look by wearing a long necklace as it is.
Speaking of wearing things around your neck, scarves are another great way to change the style of your outfit. There are so many alternative ways to wear a scarf around your neck and you can also attach it to your bag and even wear it in your hair.
Stacking bangles on your arm or even opting for a delicate pretty bracelet can take your style from preppy to boho. I like to mix and match different bracelets at stack them up when I’m just dressed casually. When I am dolled up I like to just wear one or two bracelets.
You may have noticed that I wear a lot of statement rings, I love bold rings and you can find really nice cheap statement rings to create a punk style or even a boho style look.
My biggest thing is your makeup and your hair style that can really change they style of your outift. Lipstick and nail polish are my two most important things. Although they aren’t really classified as accessories I think that simply by changing your lip or nail colour you can change the tone of your outfit.
Hair styles like braids, messy buns and simple pony tails are really easy go-to styles, if you wear your hair out a lot like me, opt for an easy up do to change an outfit too!
My favourite places to shop fashion accessories that I talk about in the video
Australia: Lovisa http://bit.ly/1rKjCYp and Colette by Colette Hayman http://bit.ly/1xBlsKU
Europe & UK: Accessorize http://bit.ly/1ARXXmz
USA: Bebe http://bit.ly/1sqzydu and Forever 21 http://bit.ly/143pmTU
And remember, you don’t need to be a model to look like you’ve stepped off the runway – you just need a killer wardrobe and some lipstick!
Big love,
Xox Marina
