Gatorskin Bike Tire | Product Review | Specialized Sirrus Sport Disk Bike

This is an initial product review of the brand new Gatorskin bicycle tires I purchased yesterday from Performance Bicycles. The tires cost me just under $40 per tire. they ones I purchased were not the folding ones. I confess to not knowing the difference between these tires yet.
My initial reaction, after putting almost 40 miles on them (in the rain by the way) is that they are slicker around corners in the wet. The second observation is that I rode my bicycle slightly faster than my fastest rides before these tires. They recommend a slightly higher air pressure than my previous tires and there is nearly no tread on them. These likely account for the slight increase in speed.
