Mental health care provider fined £650k over patient death

The father of a man who died while in the care of the Priory healthcare group has described it as a ‘calculating, cruel and fundamentally dangerous company’.

Richard Caseby made the comments in court earlier today, where the Priory was fined 650-thousand pounds for criminal safety failings that lead to the death of his son Matthew in 2020 – three days after he was admitted to a Priory mental health unit.
