Welcome back to More High Peak!

Today, we’re undergoing the numbers from June … and it had not been good.

As a matter of fact, this has actually become the most awful month in High Peak’s history.

The cars were gotten, prepared, marketed and marketed– but when we include every little thing up appropriately, including the price, repair work, prep work expenses, AutoTrader bills, running costs, earnings, costs and all the little things that include running an utilized vehicle dealer, the outcome is rather grim.

Automobiles were marketed
Money was available in
Repair services still needed to be paid for
Profit disappeared
And business barely recovered cost

Currently, the used cars and truck market feels extremely different. Clients are under stress, finance is costly, the price of living is still hurting individuals, and a great deal of purchasers appear to be hesitating before investing money on an automobile.

In this video, I experience every cars and truck we marketed in June, what we spent for it, what it owed us, what it sold for, and just how much revenue– or loss– was actually left at the end.

On the outside, a dealership can look active. Vehicles can be found in, automobiles go out, the forecourt changes, and it appears like everything is ticking along. Yet when you sit down with the numbers, it tells a very different story.

This is the truth of running a made use of auto dealer in the current economic situation.

Some autos generated income. Some didn’t. Some resembled they must have been good offers but ended up setting you back even more than anticipated. And by the time all the costs were accumulated, June became a month we ‘d rather fail to remember.

Is this simply a silent month?
Is the secondhand car market decreasing?
Are customers running out of money?
Or is this just what running an auto dealer appears like when the economic climate obtains difficult?
