New Tool for Creating Training Videos – Product Review

Coming up with new ways to present digital learning material is always a challenge, we can easily get stuck using the same tool over and over again. Today I share a new tool called Lumen5, that lets you create great looking educational videos extremely quickly.

Hey, my name is Ant and I”m a Brummie living in Newcastle, Australia. I’ve been working in eLearning for over 10 years and before that I was a classroom trainer. After many years of freelancing, I now run a small digital learning agency.

The reason I got into eLearning was to create more what I call “lightbulb moments” – those moments when you explain something to someone, and you can see the penny drop. Creating these moments was something I got the hang of as a trainer in the classroom, where I could actually look someone in the eye and get that instant feedback.

But I want to get better at doing this in the digital world. I’ve spent years creating eLearning courses, building platforms, trying different software, etc etc… but sometimes I’m a bit sceptical that the eLearning I’m creating is having any real impact. I really believe that eLearning is the future of education – I want my children to grow up feeling excited about the opportunities they have to learn online.

So the aim of this channel is to learn more about how I can use technology to deliver training that results in more of those lightbulb moments. And then share what I’m learning, so that you can create more of your own lightbulb moments too!
