The legends that surround the Bermuda Triangle are numerous and bewitching, but many of them can be “explained” in one way or another. But when it comes to Carolyn Cascio, her disappearance via the Triangle is much more haunting.

John Reed went on a trip from California to Brazil in 1980. What was the purpose of him going so far from home? Well, he wanted to go on an adventure, specifically, one to find an ancient lost city called Akakor. Rumors had it that the city had been lost for a long time, and was hidden somewhere in the expanse of the Amazon Rainforest.

Young Natalee Holloway was like many students after they graduated. She was looking forward to the life that was going to be given to her. But, before she had to settle into “real life”, her and her friends went to Aruba. This trip in 2005 started out like any other, but then, Holloway disappeared, last being seen with a group of young men during a party at a bar.

This disappearance took place in 1997, where one Judy Smith was trying to enjoy a nice time with her new husband. Her husband, Jeffrey, was a businessman, and in fact was going on a trip to Philadelphia. Deciding to spend some more time with her new husband, she went with him to Philly. During the trip, he had to go attend a meeting, so she decided to go and wander around the city on her own. She was never seen alive again.

In 2001, the two joined their longtime organization Maranatha Volunteers International on a trip to Costa Rica.
