We love to go float the river and I always want to catch the action on film. After losing a Flip camera to the mighty Yakima River, I decided to try something a little more water resistant. I don’t have hundreds of dollars to buy a GoPro so this fit the bill. It is water resistant for any of the depths I want to go to. It records in 4k. 1080P is good enough for me since I don’t have a 4k TV yet. You can change out the battery so when one is dead you can keep recording with another. You can charge and record so a little battery back-up will keep you in power when you are on land. You can even wire it into your car and turn it into a dash cam. It can take video or pictures, connect to your phone via Wi-Fi and comes with a lot of mounting options.

There are some things I didn’t like about it though. The sound with the waterproof case on is not good. The Wi-Fi disconnects about 6 inches under water. The instructions suck. They mostly tell you about how the mounts work. I would have rather figure that out and had the instructions tell me how the camera works. I really want to get the time lapse working. Every time I plug it in to charge, it starts to record. How do I get that turned off?
