This is a Dutch name; the family name is De Jong, not Jong.
Frenkie de Jong (born 12 May 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ajax and the Netherlands national team. He will be joining Spanish club Barcelona on 1 July 2019, after agreeing a transfer in advance.[3]

Club career[edit]
Willem II[edit]
A youth product of Willem II, De Jong played though the entire youth system of the club. On 10 May 2015, De Jong made his Eredivisie debut against ADO Den Haag coming off the bench to replace Terell Ondaan in a 1–0 home win.[4]
Ajax[edit]
In the summer of 2015, De Jong joined AFC Ajax on a four-year contract.[5] He then helped take Ajax to the 2017 Europa League final.[5] De Jong’s feats throughout the 2016–17 season for Jong Ajax saw him being awarded the Jupiler League’s Talent of the Season award.[6]
Barcelona[edit]
On 23 January 2019, FC Barcelona announced[7] he will be signing with the club on a five-year contract effective 1 July 2019,[8] for a reported fee of €75m, plus a further €11m in possible add-ons.[9]

De Jong made 22 appearances for various Netherlands youth teams. On 10 July 2015, De Jong made his international debut for the Netherlands U19 team against Germany U19.[10]

On 9 June 2018, De Jong made his senior international debut in a friendly win against Peru.[11]
